The work of a lifetime,Stewardship, one relationship at a time.
A new generation of advisors. Built on a combined twenty-years of experience.
Our StoryA New Generation of Advisors.
Legacy was founded by JD & Alec after running two independent solo practices. During their time on their own, they noticed a pattern with prospective clients where the answer to every client questions was, increasingly, the same answer. Physicians needed a custom plan and instead got a brochure. Business owners needed integrated tax, insurance, and investment work that tied into one another, but instead got three disconnected meetings and recommendations.
We built a different kind of practice. Small enough to know every client’s name, structured enough to coordinate every moving part. Fiduciary-minded. Plain-spoken. Quietly proud of the work.
The practice has grown into a deliberate, young team. The next chapter of Legacy is being written by advisors who came up inside the practice — trained with experience, matched in age and time horizon to the clients we serve. The standards are the same.
We're headquartered in Iowa, and licensed in over twenty states. Most of our growth has come from referrals — the highest compliment a client can pay.
The PRACTICEWhat we
hold ourselves to.
I.Client first,
always
Our recommendations are shaped by your interests, not a sales target. That's the standard we hold ourselves to, in every conversation and every decision.
II.Plain-spoken
counsel
Every strategy we recommend should be easy to explain — to you, to your spouse, to your accountant. If we can't put it in plain words, we go back and do more work.
III.Quiet
excellence
The best work in this business happens behind the scenes — in quarterly meetings, in year-end planning, in decisions clients rarely see us make. That's the work that earns the introductions we're grateful for.
iv.Long relationships,
not transactions
We'd rather work with fewer families for decades than many families for a few years. That's the practice we've chosen to build.

team.
